WA’s Youth Paddler of the Year.

WA Youth Paddler of the Year

Trigg Island SLSC would like to congratulate member and athlete Samantha Lourey on her recent accolade from Paddle WA, the 2022 Youth Paddler of the Year.
Samantha has had an impressive year, collecting the following at the National Sprint Canoe Competition hosted in Adelaide:
Gold:
U/18 WK2 500m
U/18 WK2 200m
U/18 WK1 1000m
Silver:
U/18 WK4 500m
U/18 WK4 500m State Vs. State
Bronze:
U/18 WK1 500m,

Before being selected to represent Australia at the 2022 Junior World Championships, hosted in Japan.
There are big things to come for this weapon and we are so excited to see where she takes this sporting prowess in the future.
Congratulations Samantha, a worthy achievement that the whole club is proud of you for.
