Success at the SunSmart State Endurance Championships!

On the 29th of October, Sorrento Surf life-Saving Club hosted this year’s SunSmart State Endurance Championships.
Participants ranged from Nippers, to Masters, with water events and beach run events on offer. The weather was quite wild, bringing a chill to all who braved the day as they came out of the water.
Trigg Island SLSC was well-represented by many competitors, who gave their all on what was to be a physically and mentally challenging day.
The following members put on a standout performance to finish on the podium, in their respective events:

U/12 Nipper Gold:

U/13 Nipper Gold:

45-59 age group 1.5 KM Beach Run:

U/15 2 KM Swim:

U/19 2 KM Swim:

45-59 age group 2 KM Swim:

U/14 3 KM Beach Run:

30-44 age group 3.5 KM Board Paddle:

45-59 age group 3.5 KM Board Paddle

Male – 3rd place – Luke Upfold

Congratulations to all medal recipients!
Overall Trigg Island SLSC finished 3rd in the club standings, with a total of 176 points.
With this being one of the first carnivals of the season, it’ll be exciting to see the growth in everyone’s performances going forward!
