The Western Suns delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 SLSA Ocean & Beach Interstate Championships, held at Maroubra Beach, NSW, powering Western Australia to an impressive third-place finish against the nation’s best surf life saving athletes.
Across a full day of elite ocean and beach competition, the Suns showcased the very best of surf life saving — grit, resilience, teamwork and unwavering commitment. From the opening races through to the final events, WA athletes went all-in, producing performances that reflected months of preparation and the strength of the Western Suns program.
Trigg Island Surf Life Saving Club was proudly represented throughout the championships, with several athletes delivering podium finishes and strong top-ten results across open and youth categories.
