Home Turf Heroes at the 2nd SunSmart Carnival for 2023 / 2024 Season.

Trigg Island SLSC was abuzz with activity on the 26th of November, as we hosted the 2023 SunSmart Carnival for Opens, Masters, and Youth competitors. Whilst the water was a little flat, the energy from our members was high, and we couldn’t be happier with the effort and performances they put on. Youths through to Masters competed across both ocean and beach events,in 2 ocean arenas and one beach arena.
With so many point-getters and top 3 finishers in almost all of the events, Trigg Island SLSC, has jumped 10 points ahead on the Live club standings leaderboard. With many carnivals ahead of us, there’s still plenty of time to extend the gap, or continue to have a close battle to the finish.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our carnival fairy Brian “Boots” Campbell, who alongside Coach Mozzy and Surf Sports Director Jeremy Hunter, co-ordinated the setup and pack down of the carnival. We’d also like to extend our thanks to those who came early to assist and those who stayed back to help with the pack down. Many hands make for light work and it’s greatly appreciated.
